The CareGivers Difference
Founded in the mid-1990s, CareGivers is a Newfoundland-based private company formed to meet an increasing need for home care services for seniors and adults through the life cycle. Responsive to changing needs in our communities, we have since diversified the services we offer and the locations from which we operate. We now provide a wide range of services to both government-funded and private clients from our six offices island wide; St. John’s, Placentia, Grand Falls-Windsor, Corner Brook, Conception Bay North, and Bonavista. CareGivers is a best practice organization with national accreditation. Here are just some of the best practices that define the CareGivers difference.
Building Relationships—We don’t just send someone to your home. Our Intake Coordinator gets to know each client and their family. The client is then matched with a worker who best suits that client’s specific needs. The worker then receives an orientation and is introduced by the Intake Coordinator.
Nurse on Staff—We have fully qualified team of nursing staff; professional care and advice are only a call way.
Telephony System—When a CareGivers worker comes to a client’s home they sign in and out and report through a remote telephony system. You always know who is in the home and what they are doing. Tasks completed are reported and any concerns shared with our team.
Live 24-hour Response—Our 24-hour emergency call line goes directly to one of our team.
Clinical Services—We have a wide range of services to help support living in your own home. These are offered at discounted rates to clients.
